What's next: skills and training in the Staff app
Great service earns great tips, so the next step for SafariTip is helping teams build the skills behind it, with training that lives right in the Staff app.

Most of what we've built so far happens at the end of a guest's stay, in the moment they decide to say thank you. We've been thinking a lot about the other end of that story, which is everything that happens before, and specifically how a lodge helps its team deliver the kind of service guests want to tip for in the first place.
For most properties the answer is training, and the reality is that it's hard to do well. Teams are spread across shifts and sometimes across properties, material lives in binders and group chats, and it's almost impossible to know who has actually completed what.
Bringing training into the Staff app
Skills & training is coming soon to SafariTip Enterprise, and the idea is to put learning in the same place staff already go to see their tips and feedback. Properties will be able to upload training videos, guides, and documents, organise them into courses and learning paths, and let staff work through them on their own phones, whenever suits them.
Managers will be able to see who has completed which training across the team, so onboarding a new guide or refreshing everyone ahead of a busy season stops being a guessing game.
Connecting the dots
Where it gets really interesting is when training sits alongside everything else SafariTip already knows, like guest ratings, messages, and tips. We want to help properties see how training links to guest feedback and tips over time, not as a scoreboard for individual staff, but as a way of understanding what genuinely makes a difference to the guest experience.
Shaped by the people who'll use it
We're still shaping this feature, and if you run a lodge, camp, or tour operation with its own way of training people, we'd love to hear how you do it today. The best version of this will come out of those conversations, and we'd rather get it right than get it out quickly.

Fair shares: the thinking behind team tips and staff scheduling
Splitting a tip sounds simple until a guest wants to thank 'the whole kitchen' and half of it was on leave that week, which is why fairness had to be designed into SafariTip rather than bolted on.

Your tipping page should look like your lodge
Guests are far more likely to trust a tipping page that looks like the place they've been staying, which is why branding was never an afterthought for us.
